Long necklaces

I said it before and I say it again:
Long necklaces are my favourite necklaces to wear.

You just throw them over your head and off you go.

You can even wear them back to front.

The process

So I love beads and I love stringing them together making necklaces.
My creative process normally consists of a very large cup of tea (with sugar) and very soon after I start stringing the beads.
Very, very rarely does it end up how I pictured it in my mind.
More often I surprise myself with the end result
but I have fun with every single piece.
As all of my necklaces is one of a kind more often than not I find it really hard to part with them.
This little number is made with Amethyst, Quartz crystals, wooden beads and Turquoise gem stones.

Blue shell necklace

I love this blue colour.
So much so I made a three strand necklace with the gorgeous blue shells.
Fit for a mermaid!

Mad for tassels

I like the kind of necklaces you can just throw over you head.
Long.
They will spruce up any outfit.

I am also mad about tassels and Rudraksha beads. Here are two longish necklaces I made this last week.

6 strand bracelets

 yup,
I will even admit I got inspired by the ├╝bercool Hipanema bracelets.
As teenager in the 80's I've always had a soft spot for stacking the bracelets so why not make a "ready made stacked" bracelet. I've been travelling to Bali every year for the past 18 years and the whole Hindu beliefs with their gods is also really inspiring. So it would only be fitting that my first 6 strand bracelet paid homage to the awesome Ganesh.
The second is a mix-match between macrame/crystals/ rhodium silver.

Paua Shells

I love the colours in the paua shells and have been fascinated by them for as long as I can remember.
Here I used the paua shell with some pink leather to jazz up a gold metal bangle.
